Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fellowship Editorial Manager to oversee the outputs of the Viksit Bharat Fellowship program, among other responsibilities. This role involves managing the fellowship's outputs, ensuring the quality of deliverables, and providing editorial and logistical support to the fellows in the program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in excellent editorial, proofreading, and copyediting skills and a passion for India's development narrative.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Program Management Assistance:


  • Assist in the execution and evaluation of the Viksit Bharat Fellowship program.
  • Coordinate the application process, including outreach, selection, and onboarding of fellows.
  • Manage the fellowship timeline, ensuring all milestones are met, including deadlines and deliverable submissions.
  • Facilitate communication between fellows, the foundation's knowledge partners.
  • Website requirements and development management, budget management, development of curriculum, and post-fellowship programs and activities.


Editorial Oversight:


  • Provide editorial guidance and support to fellows in developing their deliverables, including books, articles, case studies, and research papers.
  • Review and edit submissions to ensure clarity, coherence, and alignment with the fellowship's objectives.
  • Collaborate with fellows to refine their narratives and enhance the quality of their work.


Event Coordination and Support:


  • Organize and facilitate sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities for fellows and provide necessary support to them throughout the events.


Monitoring and Reporting:


  • Track the progress of fellows and their deliverables, providing regular updates to the foundation's leadership.
  • Prepare reports on the fellowship's impact, outcomes, and areas for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the editorial field, along with program management, preferably in a fellowship or academic, or publishing setting.
  • Required background in economics, technology, and research, either through education or professional experience.
  • Strong editorial skills with a proven track record of writing and editing high-quality content.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Passion for India's development and a commitment to fostering meaningful narratives.
