Raise is currently hiring an FDC Support Business Analyst on behalf of our client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure. Job Overview
The FDC Support Business Analyst will provide day to day business support for the Field Data Capture space. Responsibilities include application configuration, master data modeling, data quality & integration troubleshooting and end-user support. The position will be part of an FDC Support Team and will work collaboratively with colleagues, Measurement, Operations, Operations Accounting and other teams. This is a hands-on role that will require understanding of the business to aid end users in maximizing the benefits of the available systems. This role will require an organized, motivated individual with attention to detail, strong communication skills and a critical-thinking attitude
Responsibilities
- Provide business support for the Field Data Capture function as it pertains to production data requirements, application configuration and data use for the Canadian Thermal and Conventional Heavy Oil business assets.
- Stewarding towards strong data integrity: working with business stakeholders to ensure data quality standards are adhered to.
- Troubleshooting and resolving data quality and/or reporting issues.
- Key systems resource on complex and/or critical issues while working towards development of innovative solutions.
- Ensure Field Data Capture applications (CGI-PM Suite, Energy Components, and Intricate FFVS) are optimized in their use to provide the best available information.
- Utilizing corporate best practices, maintain master file data to ensure regulatory volumetric compliance and accuracy; collaborative with Measurement, Operations, Engineering, and Operations Accounting.
- Facilitate field data capture data analysis for internal decision making, reporting and other system consumption.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders ensuring production data requirements are managed to resolution in a timely manner (Operations, Production and Operations Engineering, Operations Accounting, Environmental Air and Water teams, etc).
- Liaison and collaborate with Data & Information Technology resources to facilitate technical support requirements.
Qualifications
- 10 years of oil and gas Upstream production experience.
- Relevant post-secondary education; Technical diploma/degree and/or CAPPA certification preferred.
- Exceptional communication (verbal and written) along with a positive attitude and perspective.
- Strong customer service orientation and proven ability to work in a team environment dealing with people from various disciplines to achieve goals, and to identify and resolve problems.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks, often under pressure and within rigid time constraints.
- Strong business acumen - strategic understanding of business processes and the ability to work with different levels within the organization.
- Expert knowledge in the Field Operations and Upstream Accounting business process and applications.
- Proficient understanding of regulatory requirements with respect to Provincial Directives (AB & SK).
- DIR 17 (AB & SK) – Measurement Requirements for Oil and Gas Operations.
- DIR 60 (AB) DIR 36 (SK) – Venting, Flaring and Incinerating Requirements.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of oil and gas field operations.
- Proficient in use of SQL, MS Applications (ex. Visio, Excel)
- Experience with Field Data Capture applications like CGI PM Suite (PVR/GFR) is mandatory
- Web based applications utilizing Oracle as a data base platform is an asset.
