Outreach is hiring a Full-time Family Services Program Coordinator (English/Spanish preferred) at Outreach Carol Stream to lead the case management services for residents in the Carol Stream community who are in crisis or seeking to improve their situation.

Responsibilities:

  • Family Services Program Coordinator will oversee the case management services at Outreach Carol Stream and coordinate with the Executive Director on creating and revising policies and best practices.
  • The Family Services Program Coordinator will provide casework and advocacy for clients, employment support, and distribution of private and government emergency assistance funds.
  • The Family Services Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining casework and grant-required documentation, participating in community events and special projects, and partnering with a local network of churches to provide hardship assistance.
  • The Family Services Program Coordinator will provide focused efforts to support families and individuals within the clinical and education programs at Outreach Carol Stream.
  • The Family Services Program Coordinator will supervise the case management staff at Outreach Carol Stream including hiring, training, and professional development. They will also oversee the supervision of any interns in the department.
  • Additional responsibilities include providing client transportation assistance as needed.
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Occasional evenings to meet client needs.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; licensure required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in providing direct services to low-income, high-risk youth and families and knowledge of public systems and resources which affect those clients
  • 2 years of administrative experience and demonstrated ability in program development, supervision of staff and interns.
  • A sensitivity to the needs of a low-income, culturally diverse population
  • A valid Illinois driver’s license, good driving record and reliable vehicle required.
  • A commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith is required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
