JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Program Assistant, Family Programs (ICWA)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Reports to: Department of Family & Community Development; Family Services Administrator
Work Schedule: Full Time - 37.5 hrs. per week
Salary: $24.49- $26.00 Per Hour
Job Summary: Provide support to the ICWA Program staff, and Coordinator. Perform administrative support tasks including but not limited to filing, copying, ordering and maintaining office supplies, and keeping calendars up to date. Assist with data collection necessary for preparing reports and information as assigned by program coordinators. Participates in a variety of meetings, workshops, and/or trainings for the purpose of providing or receiving information and supporting the needs of the attendees. Oversees the work activities within the office for the purpose of organizing assignments, monitoring progress, and ensuring completion within established guidelines. Manages projects as assigned.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of office organization, strong clerical skills, computers skills including Microsoft Office programs. Able to work with individuals from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds with an effective understanding of the Aleut culture and knowledge of the Aleutian Pribilof Islands Region. Able to plan, organize, coordinate and perform daily program activities. Ability to work effectively as part of a team, gather data and compile information to prepare reports, demonstrate dependability, maturity, good judgement in performance of duties and the ability to be a team player. Upon date of hire, criminal history background/ fingerprint clearance. Valid AK Driver's License.
