Work with the sales team, various Vishay divisions and channel partners to do the demand creation activities, “Technology Promotion”, for Japanese customers.
Conduct application and product training to sales and channel partners
Support and resolve technical enquiry of quality FA issues
Sampling, analyzing, calculating and completing technical aspects of proposals; providing respective quotes.
Executing calculations and simulations, and analyzing customer's technical set-up for integration purposes.
Adding value across the whole sales process to sales and customers with technical expertise and services.
Support and feedback customer requirements to work with Divisions for new product needs
Designing or implementing business development and Go-to-market strategies, tactics and measures, for assigned markets.
Systematically collecting, analyzing and evaluating information and data about target customers and their potentials.
Preparing customer relations, investigating and defining the business potential of prospective or existing customer.
Utilizing the VISHAY Design Database to present the technical features, options for application and integration of products.
Position Requires
Bachelor’s degree in electronic and electrical engineering or equivalent qualification
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Field Application Engineer or project design engineering field in hardware, circuit and electronics engineering/component industries
Preferably to have a designer or FAE experience in the area of industrial or power applications
Strong understanding of electronic components, working experience with resistors/capacitors/inductors/diodes/ MOSFETs is preferred
Ability to provide technical advice and troubleshoot component-level issues.
Knowledge of component selection and application in analog circuit such as switching power supply, buck/boost converter, ACDC, DCDC, and inverter.
Proven experience in technical sales support or application engineering roles is highly recommended
Willingness to travel extensively (over 50%) for customer meetings, technical support, and industry events.
Japanese level= Native, English level = Fluent/Business.
Experience identifying new business opportunities and potential customers.
Knowledge of the Japan electronics market, including trends and key players is highly recommended.
