Summary

Carlow University's department of Biological Sciences at Carlow University invites applications for a 1-year teaching position beginning August 2025. The primary instructional responsibilities of the candidate will include teaching Anatomy and Physiology I & II lecture and laboratory sections. Opportunities to teach additional classes for majors and non-majors will be dependent on the applicant's qualifications and the needs of the Department. Requirements: * The position requires an M.S. in Biology or closely related field completed by August 2025. A Ph.D. in Biology or closely related field is preferred. * Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year teaching experience at the college/university level (may include part-time, adjunct, or TA experience) and must demonstrate knowledge and experience sufficient to enable the candidate to effectively teach courses as assigned in the Department. * Ability to effectively teach Anatomy and Physiology I & II lecture and laboratory sections. * Applicants should possess basic experience in using technology applications, specifically learning management systems (LMS) and biological laboratory equipment. * Ability to evaluate student learning and to provide effective feedback. * Ability to adapt to changing teaching and learning environments and content-delivery methods. * Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with students, faculty, staff, and administrators. * Ability and willingness to work with students of all skill levels and academic backgrounds. * Please submit a letter of introduction, CV, statement of teaching philosophy, and contact information for three references.
