Summary

We are looking for an experienced International Factory Compliance Manager to lead global compliance efforts across our apparel supply chain. This role focuses exclusively on managing and monitoring international factory partners to ensure adherence to labor, safety, environmental, and ethical sourcing standards. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in international factory audits, risk mitigation, and sustainable compliance programs in key sourcing regions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee factory compliance across all international vendors, ensuring alignment with global labor and environmental standards.
  • Manage third-party social compliance audits (e.g., WRAP, SMETA, BSCI, SA8000) and evaluate audit results to determine factory eligibility and risk levels.
  • Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date vendor compliance database, tracking all active factories and their certification status.
  • Partner with sourcing and production teams to vet new international factory partners and ensure compliance during onboarding.
  • Identify potential violations or high-risk behavior (e.g., unauthorized subcontracting, excessive hours, unsafe conditions) and lead the development of corrective action plans.
  • Travel internationally to perform factory visits, provide compliance training, and build strategic relationships with overseas partners.
  • Collaborate with ESG, sustainability, and legal teams to integrate ethical manufacturing practices into the broader supply chain strategy.
  • Create and implement tools and trainings to educate vendors on evolving compliance expectations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and scorecards for leadership to evaluate supply chain risk and performance.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in international factory compliance within the apparel or consumer goods industry.
  • Deep knowledge of international labor standards, audit protocols, and local regulations in key sourcing countries (e.g., China, Vietnam, Bangladesh).
  • Experience working with audit firms and platforms such as Sedex, Amfori BSCI, WRAP, or Higg FSLM.
  • Strong background in addressing high-risk issues such as falsified audits, worker grievances, or forced labor indicators.
  • Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity when working with global partners.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multilingual ability (Mandarin, Vietnamese, or Bengali preferred).
  • Experience managing factory compliance for licensed or branded products sold into major retailers.
  • Familiarity with chemical compliance (e.g., ZDHC), environmental audits, or traceability tools is a plus.
