Overview

The Facilities Operations Manager will oversee the daily operations and maintenance of all campus facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This position requires an on-campus residency to provide immediate response to any facility-related emergencies or issues that may arise.

Essential Functions

  • Supervises the maintenance and repair of all buildings, grounds, and equipment on the campus.
  • Leads a team of facilities staff ensuring high standards of performance and safety.
  • Coordinates preventive maintenance schedules and responds to repair requests in a timely manner.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety regulations and facility standards.
  • Monitors facility systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security.
  • Collaborates with other departments to meet the needs of residents and staff.
  • Performs regular inspections of the campus to identify and address issues proactively.
  • Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities and supplies.
  • Responds promptly to emergencies or urgent maintenance needs, particularly outside regular business hours.
  • Ensures adequate staffing to ensure all shifts are covered to maintain the functions and safety of all residents and staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Residency Requirement

This position requires the Facilities Supervisor to reside on campus to provide 24/7 on-site support for emergency and maintenance needs. A private, unfurnished apartment will be provided on the premises.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3 years of progressively responsible experience is required; prior supervisory experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and safety protocols.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in emergency situations.
  • Flexibility and availability to address campus-related needs at all times.

Environment and Working Conditions

  • Ability to focus on task needs and perform intellectual executive functions as related to the functions of the facilities operation.
  • Ability to execute intellectual tasks and duties under conditions of high demand and distraction.
  • Ability to complete the essential functions of the position with or with adaptive personal devices (e.g., hearing aid, corrective lenses).
  • Ability to operate equipment and technology required for the position.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively.
  • Able to assist with the evacuation of residents under emergency status to the best of their physical ability.
  • Able to function independently with integrity and work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies.
  • Able to constantly stand, walk, and move intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Able to frequently push and/or pull a force of up to 26 pounds as relates to maintenance cart, etc.
  • Able to reach overhead, bend, and occasionally carry or lift up to 50 pounds and frequently carry or lift up to 35 pounds. Able to occasionally carry or lift objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Able to work in outdoor elements and in all types of weather.

Hours

Full-time, 1st shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Rate

$62,400.00
