Description

Position Purpose:

Assist Faciilities team with building and grounds maintenance functions and projects.

Essential Functions

  • Seasonal grounds maintenance: grass cutting; edging; trimming; maintaining shrubs, trees and flowerbeds; leaf collection and removal; and snow removal.
  • Other campus maintenance: trash collection, event set-up and take-down; arranging classrooms, tables, and chairs.
  • Facilities project assistance: such as painting and construction.
  • Facilities assistance: Run errands; pick up supplies and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

Skills

  • Able to complete routine tasks daily, as well as the ability to be very flexible.
  • Able to follow both verbal and written directions and to use this instruction to complete tasks with limited supervision very important.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED
  • Currently enrolled at Westminster Theological Seminary Preferred
  • Maintenance, Landscaping, or Building Trades experience Preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license

  • While efficient, also able to operate equipment or perform tasks, in a safe manner
  • Attention to detail.
  • Appreciates the importance of tasks, especially relative to the end results.
  • A sense of humor

Physical Requirements And Work Environment

  • Ability to lift 70 able pounds.
  • General good stamina and fitness for both indoor and eastern PA year-round outdoor conditions

Work Schedule 12-20 hours weekly, normally weekdays during the school semester; additional

hours during the Summer.
