Position Title: Facilities Assistant

Reports to: Manager of Facilities
Position Overview
This position is primarily responsible for the day to day maintenance of the FNB Financial Center, ensuring public spaces are clean and presentable by performing general clean-up and janitorial duties, supporting the need to rearrange furniture and equipment, responding to minor maintenance requests as well as the monitoring and stocking of coffee, printer and office supplies.
Primary Responsibilities
Ensures that all public spaces, such as lobbies, hallways, and meeting rooms are clean, presentable and free of hazards. Incumbent will need to perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping etc. as needed. Report any major maintenance issue or safety hazard to the facility manager, and complete assigned "work orders" for general upkeep.
Supports the need to rearrange furniture and equipment by moving equipment such as desks, credenzas, returns, cabinets, boxes, etc. safely, effectively and efficiently without damage to the furniture and equipment or facilities.
Monitors and maintains supplies for printers, coffee and general office supplies in common kitchen and resource areas. Including but not limited to, changing toner, refilling printer paper, stocking cups, cutlery, paper cups, paper towels, staples etc.
Assists with setting up, rearranging and cleaning up after events or meeting, as well as with setting up and tearing down for events.
Provides minor carpentry services such as minor repairs, hanging pictures and banners, installing and adjusting door closures, etc. according to established codes and safety regulations.
Ensures wellness rooms have a sufficient first aid and other necessary supplies in stock, as well as ensures that the room is clean and ready for the next use.
Ensures that conference rooms appear neat and tidy throughout the day. Empty trash after large meetings to ensure that bins are not overflowing during the day. Also ensures that conference room equipment is in place and that seating and furniture remains in the conferencing spaces, as designed.
Monitors and cleans the interiors of office refrigerators and microwaves, as required, empty and clean ice makers routinely, and change water filters at required intervals. Responds to any major spills or other cleaning crises. Place safety hazard signs in the building including wet paint and wet floor warning signs. Keep sinks, counters and seating areas free from debris.
Coordinates with FNB FC Property Management to ensure that work order items that are routed to the Property Mgmt. Team are completed.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
