HANCOCK STRUCTURAL STEEL, LLC FULL TIME REPORTS TO: Vice President of Production & Shop Foreman GENERAL SUMMARY: Hancock Structural Steel, LLC is seeking a Steel Fabricator with shearing and grinding experience. In this role, you will cut metal parts and fit or assemble them into structures, such as stairs and columns. This job requires physical stamina as well as basic math and reading skills. Applicants must have experience fitting and welding steel, preferably in a manufacturing environment. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Fabricate steel and other metal parts according to blueprints Lay out cutting lines, material setups and layouts Assemble steel structures Fit fabricated steel items Rigging, hoisting and moving materials Operating forklifts, aerial and scissor lifts Maintain tools and equipment, experience in using a variety of fabrication tools such as drills, shears, presses, precision measuring tools, welding (Tack, MIG, & TIG), reading blue prints and layouts Use measuring tools to inspect work Maintain a safe workplace Requirements: 1 year of experience in welding preferred Advanced mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Ability to retain information High school degree or higher A good driving record CDL is a plus/bonus
