We are looking for an External Sales Engineer to join the Sales department in Endress+Hauser (Hellas) Single Member SA. The team of close to 30 employees is looking for support. Our office is located in Athens and plays an important role for the Region Europe.

What is the role about?

As an External Sales Engineer you play a crucial part in the success of the Sales organization. You are the first contact to our customers; you know their needs and ensure we solve their requests with the Endress+Hauser product portfolio. You work closely together with the Internal Sales employees, the Country Manager and the Business Developer of the Region of Europe in order to reach a high customer satisfaction and the Sales targets.

Which tasks will you perform?

You will:

  • be responsible for Order Entry, Net Sales and Gross Profit for a certain customer segment
  • intensively support in helping generate business opportunities (lead generation)
  • bring and ensure a strong knowledge of the market, the competition and the processes at Endress+Hauser
  • establish effective sales channels, considering the entire Endress+Hauser portfolio
  • follow-up of inquiries and actions all the way to support payment collection
  • take care of the customers by the active promotion of customer loyalty measures, show that Endress+Hauser is the right partner
  • working with the Internal Sales Engineers in daily business and in execution of projects
  • support, if necessary, in logistical matters, order processing and commercial topics e.g. payment conditions, contract reviews
  • demonstrate outstanding behaviour according to our vision, mission and credo and follows our Code of Conduct

What do we expect from you? 

You:

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering in automation, electrical or electronics
  • Technical competencies in process automation are appreciated
  • A minimum of five  years of working experience in Sales in a in similar position from an industrial field, ideally in Automation
  • are fluent in Greek (spoken and written) and have very good English skills
  • possess good knowledge of MS Office pack, ERP (SAP/SBO) and CRM
  • have a strong customer orientation as well as assertiveness, paired with positive mindset and like to proactively do sales, a well self-managed workstyle and have no problems handling many different tasks at the same time, add value to the company and the customers by your sophisticated negotiation skills
  • Own a driver license, able to travel across Greece to perform customer visits
