Practice Area The Risk & Compliance Practice provides strategic, transformational and technical offerings in risk and compliance. We take a comprehensive view which enables us to help our clients grow their businesses while staying ahead of key risks, anticipating regulatory shifts, and instilling ethical practices. Our offerings include, but also extend beyond: Compliance and Crisis Management, Cyber and Digital Risk, Credit Risk Management, Balance Sheet Optimization, Market & Commodity Risk, ESG, Risk Org, Ops and Operational Risk, and Supply Chain Risk. What You'll Do BCG is looking for Expert Consultants in Risk to join our Risk Management and Compliance Team and work alongside some of the world's top minds in the industry. You will play a critical role in the growth of our risk management practice through case execution, client development, and intellectual property and product creation. You will also significantly contribute to the development of our risks topics and support our ambitious growth targets. The US has been in its longest economic expansion in history. Regulatory challenges remain, and banks, insurance companies and industrial companies continue to develop their monitoring, control and risk and compliance management systems. However, many have resilience and down-turn preparedness top of mind. In this context, your expertise will support our growth and strengthen our teams dedicated to risk management with our banking, insurance and industrial customers in North America. You will work hand in hand with the decision makers of our client companies, having a real seat at the table and building long-term relationships. Your responsibilities will include: * Execute risk and compliance management projects in banking, insurance and diverse industries * Assess the most pressing risk and compliance challenges and analyze the impact of regulations * Unlock value opportunities for our clients and help them to strengthen resilience and competitive advantage * Transform the finance, treasury and risk management functions of leading industry players * Define and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks and operating models * Analyze and monitor regulatory requirements for their strategic impact and their operational implementation * Help our clients drive their digital agenda for risk management * Work jointly with BCG and client project teams, bringing expertise to the team and to the client on-site * Actively support our business development efforts Our Expert Consulting Track The Expert Consulting Track (ECT) is vital to BCG's ability to successfully meet our clients' demand for deep expertise and advanced technical capabilities. Experts deliver next-level impact for BCG's most complex and cutting-edge client challenges. Experts focus on developing BCG's thought leadership, commercial capabilities, and intellectual property assets; and their work is essential to our delivery model. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to bring the 'best of BCG' to our clients, Experts come from diverse backgrounds, with expertise often gained outside of BCG in industry, academia, or specialized consulting. What You'll Bring * 5+ years of top tier industry and/or consulting experience focused on risk management * Deep understanding of financial institutions and financial risk management in at least one of the following areas: * Credit risk management, including credit risk modelling, credit portfolio analysis, credit process optimization * Regulatory capital and liquidity requirements, including stress testing * Corporate treasury, including asset-liability management and liquidity risk management * Strategic thinking and value-driven mind set * Strong academics from a top-tier institution * Excellent communication skills; able to explain complex industry concepts in non-technical terms Additional info You'll be based in: We will consider candidates for our Boston, Chicago or New York offices. The first year base compensation for this role is: Consultant: $190,000 USD Project Leader: $225,400 USD In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution.
