The Role: Senior Technician

Welcome to the big leagues. In this role, you’ll be responsible for handling the repairs that truly demand mechanical intelligence and accountability. This isn’t your everyday maintenance—this is engine rebuilds, gearbox replacements, timing chains, and more. Your expertise will be critical because every repair you complete plays a role in ensuring our customers’ safety.

What You’ll Actually Do:

• Safety First:
• Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on every vehicle leaving the workshop.
• Major Mechanical Repairs:
• Perform gearbox replacements, timing chain/cambelt work, suspension overhauls, turbo replacements, and repairs on injectors and fuel systems.
• Diagnostic Expertise:
• Quickly and accurately diagnose major faults—no guessing games allowed.
• Component Replacements:
• Replace ABS modules, cooling systems, ECUs, and hybrid system components when necessary.
• Problem Solving Under Pressure:
• When unique challenges arise (like drilling out snapped bolts or manufacturing custom tooling), bring creativity and precision to resolve issues effectively.
• Adherence to Safety Standards:
• Execute every repair to the exacting safety standards expected—no shortcuts, no “that’ll do” mentality.

What We’re Looking For:

• NVQ Level 3+ in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualifications.
• Significant experience with major mechanical work and a proven track record in the field.
• Ability to work independently and safely under pressure.
• Meticulous attention to detail, with a record of achieving near-zero comebacks.
• A solid understanding of the “why” behind every repair—safety is non-negotiable.
• Consistent, clean, efficient work habits that prevent the need for repeat fixes.
