Excellere Construction, LLC is a fast-growing company that specializes in the construction of road improvement projects and multi-use trails. Excellere executes infrastructure projects for Cities, Counties, and GDOT.

We are seeking an Experienced Project Manager/Estimator in Heavy Road-Highway Construction. This person will work under the supervision of a Georgia registered Professional Engineer, PE.

Our Ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (MANDATORY)
  • Over 5 years of experience managing road infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
  • Good interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and can meet stringent deadlines
  • Passed the EIT exam big plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Duties:

  • Plan all construction operations
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control
  • Coordinate/schedule sub-contractors
  • Purchasing construction materials
  • Prepare subcontractor agreement for sub-contractors
  • Prepare submittals
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
  • Prepare Request for Information as needed
  • Prepare pay applications/invoices
  • Review and approved invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
  • Locate and research public bid offering for potential projects that are ideal for the company
  • Interpret drawings and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
  • Complete bid take offs by estimating material, equipment and labor quantity needed to complete the proposed project
  • Request, compile and analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals to determine the best value
  • Maintain and update construction related materials prices database
  • Coordinate to prepare bid proposal packages
  • Prepare estimate summary for bids and complete bid documents
  • Attend bid openings and review post bid information to assure scopes of work is correct and accurate.
