CAD Drafter – Cummins Aerospace

Cummins Aerospace is looking for a skilled CAD Drafter to join our Engineering Department and play a critical role in manufacturing aircraft landing gear. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic company that values growth and offers career advancement.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively in both team and independent settings
• Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ensure accuracy with close attention to detail and self-review of work
• Develop and maintain 3D models using SolidWorks for aerospace components and assemblies, adhering to planning requirements and configuration changes.
• Generate and manage 2D technical drawings based on 3D models using SolidWorks
• Track project time using the ERP system
• Work closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams to refine and approve sketches
• Manage sketch annotations within SolidWorks
• Upload and maintain sketches within the ERP system
• Accurately document project updates and approvals using the ERP system
• Proactively meet deadlines and go the extra mile when needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; some college or technical training preferred
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years using SolidWorks within the aerospace manufacturing industry. Background in machining preferred.
• Skill Set: Proficiency in SolidWorks, PDM Experience is a plus, ERP Systems (Pro Shop preferred), Discus (preferred), and other relevant design software.
