THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD

The Executive Driver will provide on-demand, executive transportation services, including but not limited to airport transfers, meetings, and other business-related travel

Responsibilities

  • Pick up and/or deliver passengers within the local transportation area
  • Arrive at the designated pick-up point at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time
  • Follow the most efficient route(s) while adhering to street restrictions and be prepared to detour when encountering unanticipated conditions causing traffic congestion.
  • Maintain equipment to allow for immediate communication between the driver, the on-duty supervisor/dispatcher, and customer as needed.
  • Obey all posted speed limits, traffic signals, and directional signs in compliance with all applicable jurisdictional laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that safety belts are utilized by the operator and passengers in Government vehicles.
  • Complete a Daily Record of Government Vehicle, form FDA-3369, is a required form that must be completed by each driver of a government vehicle
  • Completing a Vehicle Mileage and Daily Utilization report shall be maintained and completed by the motor vehicle operator to document each trip. Documentation will be an official log and will be submitted to the COR monthly.
  • Comply with the requirements of 41 CFR 101-39, 41 CFR 101-38.301-1, the operator’s packet furnished with the vehicle, and all other federal and Agency guidance related to the operation of Government Vehicles
  • Ensure that the Government vehicles are operated for official use only.
  • Obey all posted speed limits, traffic signals, and directional signs in compliance with all applicable jurisdictional laws and regulations.
  • Have good eyesight, correctable to 20-20 vision, and if they are prescribed glasses or contacts, they must be worn at all times when driving for FDA
  • Arrive at the designated pick-up point at least 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • Complete the Mandatory HHS Driver’s Overview training annually.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License (DL)
  • Possess a driving record free of violations for the past three (3) years.


Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of and ability to obey all motor vehicle traffic laws of the State and local jurisdictions in which they operate
  • Possess proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
