A Brief Overview The Executive Director, Operations and TPA Oversight will be responsible for serving as the relationship owner for a portfolio of multiple outsourced services to support the Institutional Markets products. This role will need to create a consistent, executive level method of communicating key metrics regarding the health of our end-to-end administration functions, internally and externally. This role will work with the various internal business development teams to make key decisions on new business transaction opportunities. This role will manage the portfolio of key strategic business and technology initiatives for the Institutional Markets New Business Onboarding and Operations organization, including budget and reporting. This role is looked to as a single point of contact for day-to-day escalations, regulatory inquiries, complaints/fraud investigations, and service oversight, including primary approval of changes to any procedures as it relates to operations and TPA activities. What you will do * Primary liaison between multiple external TPA partners, new business onboarding and business development teams. . Responsible for establishing an effective relationship model with internal and external partners. * Lead the institutional markets New Business decision making process, including determining internal new business onboarding team capacity, and external TPA capacity on a deal by deal basis. * Design and implement an internally and externally facing method for capturing key metrics to communicate the state of our various operations activities across all institutional markets. * Manage portfolio of multiple large strategic initiatives including both business and technology to support multiple institutional markets. * Lead TPA pricing evaluations for each deal transaction being quoted on. * Create strong partnership with peer leadership team, including dotted-line oversight of Transition Managers on a day-to-day basis to remove barriers and act as primary escalation point to ensure that they are able to meet customer needs. * Negotiate and resolve any issues relative to the TPA's performance and non-compliance with contractual terms. * Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent required * Advanced degree(s) preferred * 5+ Years TPA management experience required * 10+ Years Institutional Markets product knowledge or other relevant experience required * 2+ Years as manager of operations unit preferred * Knowledge of legal & regulatory environments required * Advanced written and verbal communication skills (ability to communicate effectively and professionally with Administrators, annuitants, attorneys, regulators, auditors, TPAs or any other source necessary to obtain specific information or explain administrative decisions or handling procedures). required * Strong review skills, ability to analyze situations and provide resolution required * Strong interpersonal skills (the ability to work with many different people on a variety of subjects) required * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required * Decision making authority is extensive and comprehensive in administrative duties. Compensation Range: $123,500.00 - $184,050.00 Annual Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
