THE ROLE


This is an entry level position for an up-and-coming professional with a drive to learn about communications support to corporates and organisations. The right candidate will be able provide day-to-day support and undertake client tasks with guidance from senior team members. The successful applicant will be interested in pursuing a career in public relations and enjoy working with high calibre clients who operate across the financial and professional services, technology and property sectors. The candidate will be based in Hong Kong, with the opportunity to travel to other offices to support our on the ground team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Research to support client briefs and the firm’s new business efforts.
  • Assist with drafting and formatting documents.
  • Support the team in developing press releases, news jumping alerts and media briefing notes.
  • Logistics support for client work, meetings and functions.
  • Media monitoring and analysis.
  • Translation.
  • Actively develop a solid understanding of communications and/or public affairs and client management practices.
  • Work across multiple client briefs concurrently.
  • Preparation of activity reports with input from the broader team.
  • Contribute to the firm’s marketing and new business programmes, including participating in brainstorms and idea generation, assisting with proposals and tenders, drafting case studies and credentials materials, and attending networking and industry events.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS


  • University graduate, with up to two years of experience in public relations, marketing or journalism.
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills in English.
  • Solid research and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal communications skill with “can-do” mindset.
  • A positive approach to working with cross office teams.
  • Is curious and has interest in the business issues that impact China or the Asia Pacific region.
  • Ability to thrive in a pressured environment and to achieve tight deadlines.
  • Understanding of digital and social media, with an interest in learning more.
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered for other roles in the firm.
