Summary

Mamre Anglican School is a Pre-Kinder to Year 12 co-educational Anglican school in Western Sydney with 700 students and 90 staff. We are committed to fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and character development within a supportive Christian environment. We are seeking a highly organised, professional and proactive Executive Assistant (EA) to support the Principal and contribute to the efficient management of the school’s strategic and operational priorities.


In 2029 the school will move its location to the Sydney Science Park. Our new location is close to the Luddenham Metro Station, and within reach of the new Western Sydney International Airport. Position Purpose:

The Executive Assistant to the Principal provides high-level executive and administrative support, ensuring the Principal’s office runs efficiently and effectively. The role is integral to the coordination of the Principal’s schedule, school communications, meetings, interviews, and strategic initiatives, contributing to the overall leadership of the school.


Key Responsibilities:


Calendar & Schedule Management

  • Manage the Principal’s calendar, prioritising appointments, meetings, school events, and external engagements.
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, ensuring necessary documentation, logistics, and resources are prepared in advance.
  • Anticipate scheduling conflicts and provide proactive solutions.


Meeting & Event Coordination

  • Organise and attend key school leadership meetings, including Senior Executive, School Council, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Prepare agendas, take accurate minutes, and ensure timely distribution and follow-up of action items.
  • Support the coordination of interviews and confidential HR processes involving the Principal.


Communication & Liaison

  • Serve as the first point of contact for the Principal’s office, managing correspondence and inquiries with professionalism and discretion.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (staff, students, parents) and external stakeholders (Anglican Schools Corporation, community leaders) on behalf of the Principal.


Strategic Planning & Project Tracking

  • Assist the Principal in monitoring and tracking strategic goals, school initiatives, and related action items.
  • Maintain documentation and timelines for school improvement plans, accreditation processes, and key strategic documents.
  • Support the development and organisation of reports, presentations, and briefing papers.


Confidentiality & Professionalism

  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters with utmost discretion.
  • High standards of professionalism and support of the values and ethos of the school.


Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior executive assistant or similar role, preferably within an educational or faith-based organisation.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and digital calendar platforms.
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgement. 
  • Active Christian faith and a commitment to the values of the school.


Desirable:

  • Experience in a school environment or not-for-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with strategic planning processes and documentation.
  • Working knowledge of Board or executive governance procedures.
