Events Team Lead 


Role Overview:

The Events Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of Product Hive events. This role ensures that events align with the organization’s mission to support and connect the product and design community. The Event Organizer Lead works closely with volunteers, sponsors, and community members to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences.


Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Execution: Organize and manage events, including speaker series, workshops, mentorship meetups, and networking sessions.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Recruit, train, and oversee a team of event organizers and volunteers.
  • Speaker & Sponsor Relations: Identify and coordinate with potential speakers and sponsors, ensuring alignment with Product Hive’s values and goals.
  • Logistics Management: Secure venues, manage event schedules, and coordinate on-site logistics.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate with marketing leads to promote events via social media, email newsletters, and community channels.
  • Community Engagement: Foster relationships with Product Hive members to understand their needs and preferences for events.
  • Budgeting & Sponsorship: Work within budget constraints, seek sponsorships, and ensure cost-effective event execution.
  • Post-Event Analysis: Gather feedback, measure event success, and implement improvements for future events.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning, community management, or related roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, speakers, and sponsors.
  • Passion for the product and design community.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience with event management tools and platforms is a plus.


Time Commitment:

This is a volunteer leadership role requiring approximately 10 hours per month, varying based on event schedules.
