Essential Job Functions:

  • Detail planning and execution of approved events and promotions with emphasis on quality and budgetary guidelines; monitors events to ensure the Rising Star Casino objectives have been met.
  • Assist in the proper and timely development of special event and promotion performance and P&L statements.
  • Assist in the coordination of decorations and promotional themes.
  • Assist in monitoring special event and promotion expenditures to ensure budgetary compliance and control.
  • Assist in producing support materials for special events and promotions.
  • Ensure promotional literature is properly displayed throughout the property.
  • Facilitate the dissemination of special event and promotional information throughout the department and the property, to include collecting tournament entries, working in the pits, etc.
  • Supervise operational aspects of special events and promotions.
  • Assist in monitoring and tracking results of all promotions and special events.
  • Maintain files and accurate records of all promotions and special events.
  • Responsible for immediately informing on-site IGC Agent on duty, Security and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity of which you commit, witness or become aware; must report pursuant to company Self-Reporting Policy.

  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience Required: Minimum two years previous experience in casino advertising or a combination of education and experience.
  • Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent, an undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities Required: Organizational skills, strong computer skills including ACSC programs; good verbal communication skills; able to present information in a clear and concise manner; exceptional customer service skills.
  • Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required: Indiana Gaming Commission Occupational License - Level 2.
  • Other Specialized Requirements: Knowledge of entertainment production including sound and lighting systems, talent managers and agencies, contracts and related activities. Strong knowledge of fees and negotiating techniques.
