Description

Are you looking for a job where you can make a difference and be a part of a friendly team? We are seeking an Events and Engagement Manager to organise our online and in-person events, and lift our engagement with members. We offer flexible working conditions.

Hāpai Public | Institute of Public Professionals is Aotearoa’s national body for public servants (we like to say ‘public professionals’). Established in 1936 by and for public servants, we provide a community of learning and practice about public service. Our members work across the public sector, as well as in related private and not-for-profit organisations.


About the job

The role allows you to work across member engagement and marketing, and hone your event management skills.


This is a part-time role working 4 days per week.


Key tasks :

·        Organise and deliver seminars and webinars.

·        Develop new events to meet our members’ needs.

·        Enhance our engagement with members through online communications and other.

·        Run our member research programme and maintain our engagement dashboard.


About you

·        Event management experience is a must-have.

·        Tech savvy and no stranger to online communication channels.

·        An excellent communicator with a passion for helping our members.

·        Innovative and takes the initiative.

·        A team player – we are a small team and your fit within our team is important to us.

·        Energetic and willing to roll up your sleeves and get the work done.

·        Honest, reliable and those other attributes that make you a great person to work with. 


Salary of $64,000 to $72,000 for 32 hours/week, plus KiwiSaver – depending on your skills and experience.
