With over 30 years of experience in the delivery of IT solutions and connectivity.

We support clients with both Remote and Onsite IT Solutions.

Overview

Our event managers are responsible for running a range of events, ensuring the target audience is engaged and the needs of the event are delivered properly. Events play a huge part in the success of a brand or an organisation.

As an event manager, you’ll organise conferences, festivals, and exhibitions, as well as live streams and remote connectivity.

You’ll manage the whole process from the planning stage, right through to running the event and carrying out the post-event evaluation.

The role is primarily hands-on and often involves working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

As an event manager, you’ll need to:

  • liaise with clients to find out their exact event requirements
  • produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets)
  • manage and coordinate suppliers and all event logistics (for example, venue, travel, hotels)
  • liaise with sales and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event
  • manage all pre-event technical and resource planning
  • coordinate suppliers, handle client queries, and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and to budget
  • manage a team of staff, giving full briefings
  • organise facilities for car parking, security, first aid, and the media
  • make sure that insurance, legal, health, and safety obligations are followed
  • oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and clear the venue efficiently
  • produce post-event evaluation to inform future events
  • research opportunities for new clients and events.

  • Confident in using Google Docs, Sheets, and GMail
  • Confident web browsing
  • Team leadership
  • Teamwork and the ability to work under own initiative
  • Flexibility with hours if jobs run over etc.
  • Able to work under pressure in a busy fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Having a driving license is essential for this role
