Key objectives

As a Lead Event Project Manager, you will provide strategic support to the Head of Marketing to deliver an exciting and best-in-class experiential program across our UK centres, ensuring operational excellence in project delivery. Your responsibilities will include managing external suppliers, overseeing budgets, and driving excellence in experiential strategy to contribute to overall centre objectives. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for events and retail marketing.


What you will be doing…

  • Lead on the delivery and execution for UK experiential strategy in collaboration with the Head of Marketing, working closely with Group Marketing on European-wide campaigns
  • Support on the production of creative briefs and managing RACI for all events with Heda of Marketing. Partner with key business counterparts to ensure implementation on time, on budget and with a clear roadmap for all parties to understand progress.
  • Manage the annual events budget and reporting, responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered within budget. With full responsibility and oversight over financial processes and procurement.
  • Lead team of external freelance project/production managers and general technicians, to deliver projects, ensuring they are delivered according to centre's operational and sustainability standards
  • Project resourcing and allocation for all events in the annual calendar
  • Manage the delivery of events, including leading regular project meetings, contact reports and project time plans, ensuring regular communication with the project teams, centre management & all stakeholders, as well as onsite event management
  • Support the Head of Marketing where required by attending business meetings, assisting with specific event delivery-related projects and discussing and planning initiatives for the department where required
  • Work with the centre marketing teams to support the delivery of activity across a range of events
  • Provide an analysis of events and results and circulate to key stakeholders. Feed into Centre development work streams to futureproof centres as required
  • Work collaboratively with Development, Leasing, Centre Management and Westfield Rise as required
  • Ensure all Health and Safety, Risk Management and other appropriate procedures and licences are up to date and in line with current legislation.
  • Manage all external event agencies and suppliers
  • Ensure the extended Events Team delivers in line with URWs policies and procedures


What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?

  • Extensive experience in events industry with strong technical production knowledge
  • Experienced in health & safety legislation and practices
  • Ideally, experience within the fashion, retail, lifestyle or entertainment industry
  • Proven experience of managing multiple projects to deadlines in fast fast-paced environment
  • An ability to juggle a number of projects and priorities at the same time.
  • A proven track record in managing and developing a team
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven experience of resource planning
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to develop strong internal & external relationships
  • Ability to expertly manage multiple external agencies and suppliers
  • Strong project leader. Strategic, extremely creative yet business savvy.
  • Proactive, resourceful, can-do attitude.
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK retail industry is a must and best practice experiential strategy
