Eden Scott is delighted to be working with Newhall Estate, set within 1,100 acres of rolling Midlothian countryside, the events venue is a historic, family-run venue just a short drive from Edinburgh.


With its elegant house, landscaped gardens, and charming converted coach house, the estate has become one of Scotland’s most sought-after venues for exclusive, luxury events. They pride themselves on a highly personalised client experience and a discreet, polished approach to hosting.


They are now seeking to appoint an Event Manager, you’ll be the face of Newhall on the day of each event, ensuring that every detail runs smoothly, guests are warmly welcomed, and the highest standards are maintained throughout.


You will oversee weddings and private functions from initial setup to final guest departure, liaising with clients, coordinating with top-tier suppliers, and managing event staff. You will play a key role in preserving the estate’s exceptional reputation by delivering effortless, well-executed experiences.


Key Areas of Focus:

  • Lead the delivery of luxury weddings and private events on-site
  • Act as primary contact for clients during their event, offering confidence, clarity, and calm throughout
  • Liaise closely with premium suppliers and service providers including their catering partners
  • Oversee event timelines, logistics, and venue readiness
  • Ensure all spaces are immaculate and in keeping with the estate’s aesthetic
  • Handle unexpected issues with discretion and professionalism
  • Provide feedback and reporting to support continued service excellence


Applying candidates should have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in event or venue management, preferably within luxury or high-end hospitality
  • Highly organised with strong communication and leadership skills
  • Unflappable, polished, and personable
  • A natural host with exceptional attention to detail and guest care
  • Comfortable managing premium events and high expectations with grace
  • Full UK driving licence and transport is required due to their rural location
  • Flexibility to work weekends and evenings is essential


Salary negotiable dependent on experience.

Working 5 out of 7 days, 8 hour shifts.
