Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced ETL Tester to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of our ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing data pipelines, validating data transformations, and ensuring the correctness of data migration between systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases to validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Analyze source-to-target mappings (STMs) and ensure data consistency across multiple systems.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks.
• Work closely with ETL developers, database administrators, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure quality delivery.
• Conduct performance testing to ensure optimized ETL jobs.
• Identify and document defects, track them to closure, and work with development teams for resolution.
• Automate ETL test cases using scripting languages and testing tools.
• Validate data warehouse / data lake implementations and ensure adherence to business requirements.
• Generate test reports and present findings to stakeholders.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in ETL / Data Warehouse testing.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to write complex queries for data validation.
• Hands-on experience with ETL testing tools like Informatica, Talend, SSIS, DataStage, etc.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos is a plus.
• Experience with test automation using Python, Selenium, or any relevant tools.
• Knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Hive) is a plus.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their data services.
• Hands-on experience with ETL frameworks and data modeling.
  
  

Certification in ETL or data testing tools is a plus.
