Job Description & Summary
We are seeking to recruit a Cloud DevOps Lead to join our team in Cairo.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7+ years experience. They will be developing
a reputation within the IT market, having worked on 7+ DevOps projects (at least two different DevOps solutions & at least 6 months on each project);
providing valued thought leadership and opinion. They will be building a strong professional network, and have a growing presence in the Engineering ecosystem.
You will be part of a team that reports to the Cloud Service Delivery Director and will be an integral part of the team based in Cairo, as well as those delivering client transformation programs across the PwC Global Network, including the UK, Germany and Middle East.

We are seeking an experienced Cloud platform & DevOps expert with strong hands-on experience in cloud services, data engineering, infrastructure automation, and DevOps methodologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with data processing frameworks, CI/CD pipeline automation, infrastructure as code, and container orchestration across multi-cloud environments. This role will focus on managing and optimizing data workflows using Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, PostgreSQL, and Kubeflow while leveraging Kubernetes for scalable and efficient data infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support scalable and secure applications.
- Utilize and optimize data engineering tools, including Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, PostgreSQL, and Kubeflow, to build, manage, and orchestrate complex data workflows.
- Develop, manage, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI/CD for seamless deployments.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation for automated cloud resource provisioning.
- Develop and manage microservices containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for scalable application deployment.
- Optimize and manage Kubernetes-based clusters, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficient resource utilization for data-driven workloads.
- Administer and optimize operating systems, databases, and networking to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Write and maintain automation scripts using Python, Bash, or Java to enhance infrastructure efficiency.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud-based applications in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud best practices.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for cloud environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in cloud computing, DevOps, data engineering, and cloud security measures.
Required Skills and Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in Cloud and DevOps roles.
- Proven hands-on experience with cloud services and architectures across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep expertise in data engineering tools, including Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, PostgreSQL, and Kubeflow.
- Experience with Git version control systems for collaborative development.
- Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for cloud resource automation.
- Strong experience in Kubernetes cluster management, ensuring scalability, high availability, and performance for data-intensive applications.
- Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes & Helm .
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux/Windows), databases (SQL/NoSQL), and networking principles.
- Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Java for automation and cloud infrastructure management.
