Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project cost estimates, supporting both initial capital budgeting and business development proposals.
- Collaborate with schedulers to ensure cost-schedule integration, linking scope and budget data to Primavera P6 schedules.
- Evaluate and validate change orders, providing financial impact analysis and recommendations for approval.
- Support the creation, standardization, and implementation of project control procedures, workflows, and reporting formats.
- Track project budgets, commitments, actuals, and forecasts; provide variance analysis and trends.
- Participate in developing and maintaining cost control tools, spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely input of cost data into internal systems; coordinate with procurement, engineering, and finance for up-to-date figures.
- Assist in producing regular cost reports, earned value analysis (EVA), and capital performance metrics for senior management.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project controls systems through tech-savvy innovations, automation, or software tools.
- Interface with construction, engineering, and client teams to gather field data and improve cost visibility and predictability.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in cost control, estimating, or project controls within capital projects—preferably in energy, utilities, or industrial sectors.
- Proficient in:
- Primavera P6 – for schedule understanding and integration with cost
- Microsoft Excel – advanced use of formulas, lookups, pivot tables, dashboards

- Familiarity with estimating tools such as RSMeans, Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, or equivalent.
- Experience with change order analysis, budget formulation, and cash flow forecasting.
- Demonstrated ability to support development of cost control procedures, workflows, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working with cloud-based platforms, databases, and modern project management tools.
