As a Residential Builder who has operated in Brisbane for 14 years, the business is now in the position to hire a full-time Estimator / Supervisor.

We are Master Builders members and diligent tradespeople. We take pride in the service we offer our clients and the quality of our works. Using modern online systems to support our business operations the ideal candidate will need to be computer and phone literate and understand how to manage construction works. We offer a wide range of services, from Insurance Repair Assessments, Insurance Repairs, Body Corporate Repairs, Residential Renovations and Extensions and Swimming Pool Construction.

We are a smaller organisation expanding into new areas of the residential construction sector and have need of a Construction self starter who would like to ultimately build their own team of Supervisors and take a share of the business profits. We encourage a safe and happy work environment, through transparent communication and diligent construction and trade management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Technical experience aligned with Renovation and Insurance Repair Supervision
• Ideally the candidate must have Residential estimating and repair coordination experience and 7 years experience in the construction industry after apprenticeship.
• Applicants must have Certificate III in Carpentry and Certificate IV in Building and Construction
  
  

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits in a professional manner. Prepare scope of works at times from site, and from both concept and construction set of drawings
• Reviewing and analysing subcontractors and their rates. Always liaise with suppliers and trades in a professional manner.
• Be aware of Building compliance and codes of practice and enforce their standards
• A commitment to quality and an eye for detail. Quality assurance to ensure all work is completed to a high standard
• Manage variations from supervisor level and contract perspective. Write and review in detail assessments, variations, contracts and other documentation.
• Utilise your exceptional customer service skills to liaise with the customer and trades and keep them informed through the repair process
• Accurately create and issue purchase orders in timely manner to trades and suppliers.
• Accurately create and control variations and variation contracts in consultation with clients, customer, trades and direct line manager
• Ability to manage multiple construction sites. Build effective and supportive relationships internally and with clients, customers and trades based on commitment to customer service. Communicate effectively throughout repair process.
