Your Role: Estimator

As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in ensuring our projects are accurately planned and cost-effective. Your work will help drive the success of our renovations, ensuring we provide top-quality solutions while staying on budget.

What You'll Do

Cost Estimation:

  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for multifamily renovation projects, including materials, labor, and subcontractor costs.
  • Analyze completed projects to compare estimates with actual costs, identifying ways to improve accuracy.

Industry Expertise & Value Engineering:

  • Stay up to date on construction trends, technologies, and regulations that impact costs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and present resourceful solutions that benefit our clients and stakeholders.

Database & Documentation Management:

  • Develop and maintain an accurate cost database to reflect market changes.
  • Track cost trends to support decision-making and efficiency improvements.
  • Present cost estimates and bid proposals in a clear and professional manner.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with account managers, clients, and trade partners to ensure all estimates are comprehensive and precise.
  • Collaborate with project teams to align cost expectations with project goals.
Requirements:

What We're Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in cost estimation, preferably in multifamily renovations.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and mathematical abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Technology: Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Timberline, ProEst, or similar).
  • Leadership: Ability to work independently while also leading and managing project estimates.
  • Communication: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills to interact with clients and stakeholders.
  • Efficiency: Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive under pressure.
