We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Civil Estimator to join our team in Central New Jersey. The Civil Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of civil construction projects, including site work, roadways, utilities, and infrastructure.

Description

The Civi Estimator With Be Responsibile For:

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.

• Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for labor, materials, and equipment.

• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

• Prepare bid packages and proposals for both public and private sector projects.

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field staff during pre-construction.

• Maintain historical cost data and support budgeting efforts.

• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

• Ensure all estimates are completed on time and in accordance with industry and company standards.

Profile

A Successful Estimator Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).

• 3+ years of experience in estimating civil construction projects.

• Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).

• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and costs.

• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Experience:

• DOT, municipal, or utility project estimating.

• Familiarity with prevailing wage and public bidding procedures in New Jersey.

• Working knowledge of local construction codes and regulations.
