Job Purpose
A full-time Estimator will prepare detailed estimates within the production and custom-building industry. This individual will need to review plans and specifications and work closely with Sales, Design Centers, Inside and Field Operations to coordinate finalized quantities and plan layouts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Complete plan estimates efficiently and within established timeframes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project deadlines.
* Manage and verify the quality of data generated from VEO estimating software, ensuring precision and consistency in all estimates.
* Communicate effectively with team leaders and supervisors to provide regular updates on estimate status and promptly address any issues or challenges.
* Maintain clear, concise, and organized records of all completed estimate requests, ensuring thorough documentation for future reference.
* Collaborate with account managers to validate customer updates and ensure smooth implementation of adjustments in estimates.
* Develop a strong understanding of Pricing, Design, and Data Specialist roles, recognizing how they intersect and impact the overall estimating process.
Qualifications & Required Skills
* Proficient math (more specifically geometry, fractions, and percentages), computer, and problem-solving skills are essential.
* Previous experience reading blueprints and architectural drawings is preferred.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
* Interpret multiple sets of instructions furnished in various forms (oral, diagram, and schedule form).
* Extremely detail oriented, and a team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines.
* Ability to obtain moderate skills navigating in VEO -Estimating Software and manual estimating calculations.
