Company Overview: Founded in 1976, our company is a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality precast concrete, metal & wood site furnishings such as benches, planters, tables, and trash receptacles. Our products are known for their leading design, durability, and premium craftsmanship making them a favorite choice among landscape architects, developers, and designers. We are currently recruiting an experienced individual who can help assist our Director of Preconstruction Services & Estimator.
Responsibilities as Estimator:
· Improve company profitability through accurate estimating of projects.
· Provide detailed and comprehensive material and labor quantity take-off using paperless system.
· Ability to understand and explain the requirements of the project to aid in scope meetings with inter-office departments and with end users.
· Ability to share detailed information in a concise manner.
· Review and condense project manuals and construction documents that capture the QCP project scope.
· Perform additional duties as assigned.
· Assist in building bills of materials on standard products
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
· Solid knowledge of construction industry
· Experience in lean manufacturing experience.
· Strong leadership, decision making and negotiation skills
· Field experience, and/or estimating, project management with CMU, concrete contractor, or general contractor.
· Proficiency in basic algebra and geometry.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred.
· Highly organized and professional both internally and with clients.
· Experience digital take-off software experience (Bluebeam preferred).
· Rhino 3D experience a plus.
· High attention to detail
Education:
· Bachelor's Degree.
· Or a combination of education & experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.85 - $43.27 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
