What's on offer?
With the continued growth we are looking to appoint an Experienced Estimator to join our Infrastructure Services business in Campbelltown, NSW. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, you will play an important role within our estimating team. Servicing and providing bids for key clients which include state government, local government, transport authorities and Tier 1 to Tier 3 Civil clients throughout the NSW Regions.

Day to day you will:

  • Review specifications, quality, safety, and other requirements for all tenders, as well as attending site visits to record conditions.
  • Review RFQ's and prepare detailed estimates based on drawings and information provided by our clients
  • Verifying work schedules and bill of quantities, and completing detailed quantity take offs.
  • Ensure resource rates used are correct, coordinating and sending out subcontractor/supplier pricing requests, and performing price analysis.
  • Price of direct job cost items in Benchmark Estimating Software and assist in compiling tender support information.
  • Program the scope of works according to the construction methodology, assessing duration and productivity, and conducting win/loss reporting.
  • Participate in meetings and tender reviews, ensuring tenders and quotes are submitted in a suitable format at the appropriate time, assisting with the handover of successful tenders to operational staff, and providing technical advice to clients as required.
  • Harness and develop new and existing relationships with clients


To be successful in this role you will have experience in the civil construction field preferably in road surfacing. You will have a demonstrated experience and technical knowledge of civil infrastructure projects and a good understanding of the wider construction market and the clients within, experience pricing from first principles and delivering projects on site with ambitions to transition into a full-time Estimator role would be considered desirable. A willingness to broaden your knowledge to other construction and surfacing disciplines is also actively encouraged. You will have excellent communication skills with a good rapport with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers across the industry.

You should have experience using Microsoft office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Should you have detailed knowledge of estimating software such as Expert/ Benchmark or equivalent estimating packages it would be highly regarded.

We need an estimating superstar that's not afraid to work hard and has a keen eye for the detail, in return you will be play a part in a winning team and friendly work environment. For the right candidate the salary is generous and we offer a company vehicle with fuel card, toll tags etc.

Whilst the role is based in Campbelltown, we offer the opportunity to work from home one day a week. Special consideration would be given to an experienced and autonomous candidate looking to base themselves at Thornton (Newcastle).
