Estimator BUILDING SYSTEMS TECHNOLOGY, LLC. is a full-service general contractor in the Hazelwood, MO area. We are looking for an Estimator to join our team and provide support to our construction team. The Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate estimates for projects and assisting the Project Manager in executing the project. This position will be based out of our Hazelwood, MO office. Responsibilities Provide estimates for home & commercial projects for customers Develop estimates by gathering information from various sources, interviewing vendors, subcontractors, and customers Prepare cost reports for project budgets by collecting data from various sources, interviewing vendors, subcontractors, and customers Prepare change orders for projects by obtaining necessary approvals from various departments Prepare bid packages for projects by gathering information from various sources, interviewing vendors, subcontractors, and customers Prepare submittals for inspections by obtaining necessary approvals from various departments Assist Project Manager with project schedule and budget by performing estimating tasks on a regular basis Communicate with clients by providing estimates and bid packages to clients Submit bids to clients by collecting information from customers and vendors about their needs and requirements Submit completed projects to Project Manager for review and approval Follow up with subcontractors and vendors when necessary Other duties as assigned Required Skills & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Previous experience in estimating or construction industry preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. Ability to multi-task. Strong attention to detail is required. Strong organizational skills are required.
