Summary

Trueline's client, a niche construction company with Fortune 500 clientele, is seeking a Chief Estimator / Project Manager to join their team in the construction industry. This role combines estimating expertise with project management skills for a diverse range of construction projects.

What You'll Do as the Chief Estimator / Project Manager:

  • Conduct comprehensive cost, time, materials, and labor estimates based on project specifications
  • Execute detailed quantity take-offs for estimate and budget preparation
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to develop accurate estimates
  • Engage with various stakeholders, including owner representatives and engineers, for both estimating and project management
  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors and subcontractors
  • Manage and estimate multiple large-scale projects concurrently

Must-Haves As The Chief Estimator / Project Manager

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public and private estimating and project management
  • Minimum 2 years sitework/excavationn estimating
  • Proficiency in estimating and project scheduling
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction and trades industry
  • Self-motivation, goal-orientation, and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership capabilities

Nice-To-Haves As The Chief Estimator / Project Manager

  • Experience with estimating and bidding software (e.g., B2W, Agtek)
  • Ability to manage site work and excavation projects
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
