Are you a skilled Residential Estimating Manager looking for your next opportunity?
Join our dynamic team and play a key role in job starts, purchase orders, negotiating, and managing materials and supplier relationships for our residential construction projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
ü Support the Director of Purchasing with all aspects of the department
ü Assist the Sales team to ensure selections and options are accurate and complete; price out and procure Custom Option; Ensure selections are current and on-trend offering the very best to our homebuyers; Assist with maintenance of our Design Centers.
ü Assist the Construction team ensuring they have complete and accurate information for all scopes of work for home construction.
ü Release Work Orders and Purchase Orders in Marks Systems (IHMS).
ü Assist with pricing options.
ü Help maintain bid packages and specification sheets for vendors.
ü Data Base Management to include Plan Sets, Options and Upgrades, Vendors/Trade Partners, Pricing, and organization of supporting files.
ü Work with Trade Partners to meet all contracts, scope of work, and insurance requirements. Ensure all documentation is signed and filed appropriately.
ü Add/Delete/Update contract packages, as necessary.
ü Assist Suppliers/Trade Partners with Work Order and Purchase Order issues as they arise to ensure timely and professional resolution.
Education and Experience Requirement:
· College education is preferred.
· Experience working within the residential or commercial construction field.
· Experience in working with Mark System (IHMS) or similar construction software is required.
· Experience with Microsoft Office Suite products including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word is required.
· Possess exceptional work habits and organizational skills to simultaneously perform multiple, detail-oriented tasks with varied deadlines.
· Advanced communication skills both verbal and written.
· Possess a strong work ethic, integrity, and loyalty.
· Team player with the ability to work well under pressure.
Physical Requirements:
Requires the ability to work at a minimum of eight hours per day, in an office. Also requires the ability to read plans, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and move and/or carry items less than 50 pounds. Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods, completing paperwork, and receiving/returning phone messages. Standing is required for filing, scanning, and copying. Occasional job-site visits require the ability to navigate a home under construction.
