Summary

We're seeking an Estimating Coordinator to support our estimating team in managing administrative tasks, coordinating bid documents, and preparing cost estimates. This role will work closely with senior estimators and may include entry-level takeoff, procurement, and proposal preparation. Key Responsibilities * Perform entry level takeoff and vendor procurement * Entry level bid preparation identifying work activities and requirements under supervision of the Estimating team * Maintaining and organizing project documents, including plans, specifications, and addenda * Supporting the bid process by making bid coverage calls * Review project specs, plans, and geotechnical reports, along with relevant construction documents. * Support operations and estimating team with administrative tasks as requested Requirements Education & Experience: * Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent technical expertise preferred * 1-3 years of experience preferred in civil construction * Valid driver's license Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Agtek, Carlson Civil, or AutoCAD * Experience with HCSS HeavyBid and MS Project preferred * Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills Soft Skills: * Excellent verbal and written communication * Self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail * Ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain confidentiality Physical & Environmental Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl in construction environments * Manual dexterity for handling tools and equipment * Lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds * Ability to work in varied weather conditions for up to 12 hours per day Expectations * Represent Sargent professionally with a friendly and personable demeanor. * Stay current with industry regulations and participate in training and seminars. * Adhere to and promote Sargent's Core Values.
