Xentity is seeking an ESRI GIS Application Developer to join a team supporting cutting-edge projects transforming industries such as emergency response, science, natural resources, and transportation. In this role, you’ll be responsible for automating GIS scripts, extending applications, configuring workflows, and supporting ESRI technologies such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS REST Services. You’ll also build and configure web apps, dashboards, Story Maps, and APIs that drive data visualization, analysis, and cloud processing. Responsibilities: Web App Development & Configuration (60%): Automate GIS scripts, configure workflows, and develop data demos, visualizations, apps, services, and APIs for cloud-based data processing and data visualization. ESRI GIS Technologies: Utilize ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS REST Services, Arcade, and ESRI JS API. Build web apps, Story Maps, dashboards, and integrate ArcGIS Survey123, ArcGIS Collector, and ArcInsights. Cloud Experience: Preference for hands-on experience with Docker/Kubernetes in AWS (ECS, EC2, S3). Work with tools like Power BI, Tableau, Carto, GIT, JIRA, and WordPress. Bonus: Advanced web development experience using technologies such as HTML, CSS, Java, PHP, AJAX, JSON, etc. Data Management (40%): Analyze data requirements, curate, validate, and define data rules, and design agile visualizations and applications. Data Cleaning: Work with metadata, inventorying, and ETL/data pipelines. Proficient in Ogr2ogr, GDAL, Python, ArcPy, GeoPandas, and SQL (FME experience a plus). Subject Matter Expertise: Expertise in data editing and scripting related to addresses, street address ranges, boundaries, and general vector data. Experience with PostgreSQL, PostGIS, SDE, Replication, and ArcGIS Server interactions. Basic Skill Requirements: Ability to learn and become productive quickly to meet team goals, with a can-do attitude. Skilled in handling multiple, time-sensitive tasks and rapidly switching between subjects, communications, and stakeholder expectations. Ability to work independently as well as in an integrated team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Other Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of relevant experience. Strong foundation in GIS and geospatial principles. GIS certificate or related degree is beneficial. Must be able to pass background, drug, and reference checks. Location: U.S. remote. Travel: None to rare. Interviewing immediately for both immediate and flexible start dates.
