JOB SUMMARY:

The Administrator, Qualified and Non-Qualified Plans, Compliance and Administration provides subject matter expertise and consultation regarding compliance with the administration of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan, and Qualified and Non- Qualified Compensation and Benefit Plans. This includes making recommendations regarding the effect of proposed or enacted regulations, such as ERISA on operations and compliance activities.

Essential Functions

  • Serving as primary interface to Internal Trustees, Third Party Recordkeeper (TPA), ESOP Counsel, Valuation firm, Independent Auditor and other service providers.
  • Gathering and transmittal of census and plan related financial information to TPA and other parties.
  • Review of census information including review of eligibility determination for plan entry as well as allocation of employer contributions.
  • Review of annual allocation of annual contributions, stock purchases and earnings as well as review of vesting applied to participant accounts.
  • Review of plan financial statement and release of shares from leveraged loan.
  • Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the processing of legal documents and requests and preparing responses to participants, beneficiaries, alternate payees and/or other third parties.
  • Maintaining timely and accurate completion of Stock Program compliance activities and ensuring processes remain compliant with the appropriate regulations.
  • Gathering, analyzing and compiling data needed to perform required regulatory filings.
  • Assisting with drafting/reviewing plan documents to ensure technical, legal, regulatory and business process accuracy and making recommendations for compliance issues.
  • Prepares and assists with ESOP education.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Technical Competincies

  • At least ten (10) years of experience in benefits administration working with retirement and/or stock plans.
  • Knowledge and awareness of the various laws and regulations impacting the administration of defined contribution retirement plans, non-qualified deferred stock plans and the stock registrar and transfer agent functions including Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Uniformed Service Employment, Re-employment Rights (USERRA), Internal Revenue Code (IRC), Securities and Exchange (SEC) regulations, Treasury regulations and Department of Labor (DOL) regulations.
  • Knowledge and awareness of retirement benefit plans, including knowledge of IRS tax reporting requirements, QDROs, Levy’s, Child Support processing, Power of Attorneys, trusts and guardianships.
  • Consulting and research skills.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate/advanced spreadsheet skills, including data uploads/downloads and data manipulation.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

  • Works on computer majority of day.
  • Frequent sitting.
  • Some travel required by both car and plane.


Lift up to 25 lbs.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $78,000

The pay for this position depends on qualifications. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects the expertise and experience of the successful candidate.
