Summary

Department This position is within FSU's Department of Information Technology Services (ITS) Responsibilities The Identity and Access Management team works with university resources to create and maintain user identity and facilitate user lifecycle, authorization and access management for connected systems and applications. This position is a functional analyst supporting all aspects of Identity Management at FSU. This is a functional analyst position that provides functional support, problem resolution, and maintenance for the systems supporting identity governance and access management. This position is responsible for researching, analyzing and supporting the management of identity and access data which resides in the trusted source systems and integrates with enterprise IGA systems as well as other University entities and Direct Support Organizations. This includes administration of systems for multi-factor authentication and code release management, as well as application security administration including privileged account management. Provides leadership support and maintenance for Identity Governance (IGA) and Access Management (IAM) related business processes and its related data integration between the trusted source systems, the enterprise identity management system, and other University entities and Direct Support Organizations. Works with multiple functional and technical areas to identify, resolve, and mitigate issues with identity governance and access management. Escalates issues to FSU's development teams, as appropriate. Works with University and Direct Support Organizations to design, implement and maintain effective role based access controls to secure university systems and data in accordance with industry standard least privilege guidelines and best practices. Analyzes requests for modifications, configuration changes, enhancements and/or workarounds as necessary. Ensures requests are made and approved through appropriate channels. Works proactively with FSU business analysts, functional owners, and data owners to address opportunities for increased efficiencies and provide solutions for recurring issues. Follows established procedures and provides leadership for testing and migration of fixes. Provides clear and sufficient documentation of issues and subsequent resolutions; updates tickets and cases. Updates test scripts and configuration documents to accommodate modifications and/or configuration changes. Develops test scenarios. Responsible for ongoing improvements and enhancements of FSU trusted source systems and business processes as they relate to enterprise identity management to ensure the integrity of identity data. Works proactively with FSU business analysts and functional owners on opportunities for increased efficiencies and provides solutions for recurring issues. Reviews relevant system providers community groups and support sites proactively for new functionality. Works with product advisory groups on future development efforts. Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other appropriate degree and one year experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of experience. (Note: or a combination of appropriate post high school education and experience equal to five years.) Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Identity Governance and Idnetity Management concepts and best practices Knowledge of user authentication concepts, technologies and protocols Knowledge of role based management concepts Experience with managing directory's (I.E. Active Directory and LDAP) Helpful The ideal applicant has ability to perform problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow up; ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence in the team; skill to establish and build relationships with internal and external customers; and provide strong follow up and organizational skills.
