Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Communicate your work to peers and shift operations – Write an accurate summary of the engineering resolution of AMHS system performance problems. Engineering support will continue to work onproblem equipment that was escalated from Factory Systems shiftoperations and in the event that such support will span multiple shiftsthe engineers will communicate via the Web passdown records by including specific error conditions, equipment status and instructions to incoming shift technicians.
- Roles & Responsibilities – Engineering support will be responsible for performing specific tasks that will assure the proper operation of the AMHS equipment.
- Stocker and Cleanway –
- Develop TSG and BKM procedures to be used by technicians on shift,work with technicians on extended downtime tools to resolve issues.
- Verify WIP operations to stockers involving QPS, ETLP
- Resolve CSM/CFM “lgdml” repeatable software errors and note BKM fortechnicians’ use
- Resolve WIP MCP errors resulting from repeatable hardware errors andnote BKM for technician to fix future errors.
- Verify spare parts inventory is functional, make necessaryadjustments to assure spare parts are usable, manage the inventory toensure all needed parts are available and unusable parts are segregatedand identified. Qualify all second sources for spare parts inventory. Set-up and test parts for possible repair or re-introduce to spareparts inventory.
- Track spare parts repair efforts, monitor spare parts quality andperformance trends, and make upgrades to tools as needed.
- As required by the AMHS engineering escalation procedure, verifycassette handling on assigned stockers, i.e., TFE loading and unloading,Rackmaster port to bin placement and bin to bin.
- Pre/Post preventive maintenance checks on stockers note any specialneeds for WIP before PM and perform a post check on stocker once PM iscompleted.
- Manage and support special projects involving WIP expansion or MCS upgrades
- Respond immediately to calls for escalated issues involving WIPmovement on the AMHS.
- Train and certify AMHS technicians in the diagnosis and repair ofall stocker and Cleanway systems.
- Wafer sort/mapping tools –
- Develop TSG and BKM procedures to be used by technicians on shift,work with technicians to resolve issues on extended downtime tools(greater than 12 hours down). Document procedure changes in AMHS webpage, notify and train AMHS technicians and supervisors of the changes.
- Verify spare parts inventory is functional, make necessaryadjustments to assure spare parts are usable, manage the inventory toensure all needed parts are available and unusable parts are segregatedand identified. Qualify all second sources for spare parts inventory. Set-up and test parts for possible repair or return to spare partsinventory.
- Track spare parts repair efforts, monitor spare parts quality and performance trends, and make upgrades to tools as needed. Notify andtrain AMHS technicians in the deployment of any tool upgrades.
- Define sorter PM procedures and schedules. Monitor sorter PMprocedures and technician PM schedule, communicate any discrepancies toshift supervisors. Modify PM procedures and schedules as needed toimprove the equipment availability and publish on AMHS web page.
- Investigate wafer breakage involving wafer sort mapping tools withassistance from AMHS technicians. Document findings, corrective actions and prevention program.
- Manage and support special projects involving wafer sort mapping tools.
- Report sorter availability to fab operations management each week
- CTV/WTU, Turbo Transfer –
- Develop TSG and BKM procedures to be used by technicians on shift, work with technicians on extended downtime tools to resolve issues.
- Verify spare parts inventory is functional, make necessary adjustments to assure spare parts are usable, manage the inventory to ensure all needed parts are available and unusable parts are segregated and identified.
- Qualify all second sources for spare parts inventory. Set-up and test parts for possible repair or re-introduce to spare parts inventory.
- Track spare parts repair efforts, monitor spare parts quality and performance trends, and make upgrades to tools as needed.
- Notify and train AMHS technicians in the deployment of any tool upgrades.
- Define CTV/WTU and Turbo Transfer PM procedures and schedules.
- Monitor CTV and Turbo Transfer PM procedures and technician PM schedule, communicate any discrepancies to shift supervisors.
- Modify PM procedures and schedules as needed to improve the equipment availability and publish on AMHS web page.
- Certify AMHS Technicians to make necessary adjustments on the cassette handling of assigned CTV/WTU. Document the adjustment procedure and publish the BKM on the AMHS web page.
- Resolve CSM/CFM “lgdml” repeatable software errors, note BKM for technicians’ use and note trends for engineering support.
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A relevant vocational training (3+ years) and extensivesubject-specific additional qualification
- A relevant completed study with a duration of 4 years and additionalqualification or by a relevant completed study (+4 years)
- Mechanical or Industrial Engineer
