The Electric Power Generation (EPG) Business Manager is responsible for driving the strategic growth, operational excellence, and customer success of the electric power generation segment within the dealership. This position leads the sales and execution of Caterpillar's electric power solutions-including diesel and natural gas generator sets, Energy-as-a-Service offerings, and related equipment -across key industries such as data centers, energy providers, utilities, and municipal operations.
The EPG Business Manager develops and executes comprehensive business strategies that enhance market penetration, improve operational efficiency, and deliver tailored, high-performance power solutions. A key focus proactively identifying opportunities to enhance customer value-such as innovative power solutions, sustainability initiatives, and cost-optimization strategies-while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and aligning with the client's evolving needs. Ultimately, to position HOLT as a trusted advisor and integral partner in the customer's power growth and success.

Essential Functions:
* Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
* Hires, develops, evaluates and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS).
* Develops and executes data-driven growth strategies for the Electric Power Generation (EPG) segment, aligned with dealership objectives and evolving market demands.
* Analyzes market trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements to identify high-value opportunities and expand market share across target sectors.
* Leads the end-to-end sales lifecycle for CAT EPG solutions-including diesel and gas generator sets, paralleling switchgear, microgrids, and distributed energy resources (DERs)-ensuring optimal solution design and value delivery.
* Establishes sales targets and performance KPIs; monitor and adjust tactics to exceed revenue, margin, and customer acquisition goals.
* Manages forecasting, pipeline development, and financial modeling- implement margin control and pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
* Develops and maintains strategic, value-based partnerships with key clients in mission-critical and power-intensive sectors such as data centers, healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, and commercial infrastructure.
* Leads consultative engagements to assess client load profiles, redundancy requirements, emissions goals, and energy usage patterns; provide tailored, technically sound power solutions.
* Ensures exceptional customer experience through proactive communication, lifecycle support, and integration of aftersales service, performance monitoring, and system upgrades.
* Collaborates with Project Management, Engineering, and Service Operations teams to ensure timely and efficient project execution-from system design and procurement to delivery, commissioning, and LTSA agreements.
* Ensures all deployments meet CAT quality standards, safety protocols, and compliance requirements (e.g., EPA Tier regulations, NFPA 110, ISO standards).
* Leads, mentors, and develops the EPG sales and support teams to enhance technical proficiency, customer engagement, and solution delivery.
* Designs and implements training programs on emerging technologies and industry-specific applications.
* Cultivates a high-performance culture focused on continuous learning, technical excellence, and customer value creation.
* Oversees departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and expense control; drives operational efficiency and gross margin improvement.
* Analyzes financial and operational data to identify trends, assess ROI of initiatives, and inform strategic decisions.
* Identifies operational, financial, and project-level risks; develop mitigation plans and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
* Collaborates with legal and commercial teams to structure contracts that safeguard business interests while ensuring clarity in terms, scope, and deliverables.
* Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* In-depth knowledge of Caterpillar electric power products, including diesel and gas generator sets and related equipment.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a proven track record of developing and managing teams while driving business performance.
* Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and customer engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into client-focused solutions.
* Technical understanding of power generation system design, load analysis, paralleling applications, and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) models.
* Proficiency in CRM platforms and sales enablement tools for pipeline management, forecasting, and performance analytics.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence customers effectively.

Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in electric power generation, leading a sales team, or related power generation industries.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
* Responsibilities include, but are not limited to interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Travel:
* Up to 30% travel, to include overnight stays.
* Valid driver's license required.
Physical Requirements:
* This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc.
* This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
* Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue.
* Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
* Routinely reacts to visual, auditory, and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work.
* Safety training required; PPE required at customer job sites and Holt yard locations.
Work Environment:
* This job is generally performed in a professional office; in environmentally controlled conditions, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion.
* Noise level may be loud at times.
* Exposure to small quantities of chemicals, steam, high-pressure water, and high-speed rotating equipment.
* On occasion time spent in confined spaces and high places.
