Summary

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team in Orange, CA. The Environmental Specialist plans, executes, and coordinates project activities involving regulatory compliance primarily in the areas of hazardous materials and waste management, air quality compliance, petroleum storage tank (underground and aboveground) compliance, stormwater (SWPPP), wastewater, and other environmental programs for various industrial and commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support environmental compliance with environmental Federal, State, and local regulations and identify areas of improvement.
  • Conduct environmental compliance audits following Federal and State regulations and prepare audit reports.
  • Perform environmental due diligence and compliance assessments at commercial and industrial facilities and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Meet reporting deadlines and track compliance.
  • Perform field inspections and audits.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) and program manuals.
  • Evaluate regulatory applicability and conduct rule research and interpretation.
  • Conduct environmental compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Manage hazardous materials and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal according to environmental standards.
  • Assist in the preparation and implementation of spill prevention plans.
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIA) and audits as needed.
  • Support site remediation projects and pollution prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental compliance role supporting industrial and commercial clients.
  • Demonstrated capabilities to conduct comprehensive environmental compliance audits and thorough understanding of the applicable Federal and State rules and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and air quality standards.
  • Familiarity with EHS guidelines and SPCC requirements.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and hazardous waste management.
  • Experience in client facing role.
