As an
Environmental Project Manager based in North Carolina (Cary/Raleigh, Charlotte, or other locations in North Carolina), you’ll play a crucial role in cleaning up our communities and improving our environment. You’ll lead environmental investigation and remediation design projects for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps through our award-winning Navy Comprehensive Long-Term Environmental Action Navy (CLEAN) Program. With over 25 years of success, Jacobs is a trusted partner in delivering impactful projects to our Navy clients.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and Manage Projects Plan, staff, schedule, and budget projects while ensuring quality, consistency, and safety.
- Collaborate and Coordinate Work with subcontractors, internal support staff, and subject matter experts.
- Technical Excellence Analyze data, prepare technical reports, and design and implement pilot studies and remedial systems.
- Client Interaction Engage with clients and regulators, present information, and facilitate discussions on site management strategies.

What You’ll Need
- Education Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geology, or a related technical field.
- Experience Proven experience in environmental projects, including site investigation and/or remediation, subcontractor oversight, and managing project teams.
- Certifications 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or the ability to obtain and maintain it.
- Location Local to North Carolina or willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
- Regulatory Knowledge Familiarity with USEPA regulations, including CERCLA and RCRA.
- DoD Experience Experience managing DoD projects or working with the DoD Environmental Restoration Program.
- Advanced Degrees and Certifications Master’s degree in a related field and/or certifications such as PE, PG, or PMP.
- US Citizenship Required for this position.

The base salary range for this position is $89,500.00 to $123,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
