Position Snapshot
The Project Manager is responsible for management of all types of environmental remediation projects within defined deadlines and within budget in a safe, efficient, and professional manner while maintaining a high standard of quality and safety. The project manager is responsible for assistance with scope of work and proposal development, full P&L management of assigned projects, client interaction to address project issues, progress meetings and all other aspects related to the project(s). This position also requires the individual to communicate, market, and price new business opportunities and develop successful relationships.
Day in the Life
Direct management of projects assigned including coordination of work crews, scheduling work with clients, execution of work plans, and project profit margin control.
Establish and maintain productive relationship with customers and their onsite representative.
Communicate/coordinate all project information and strategy with General Manager of Remediation.
Coordinate the performance of work in accordance with specifications and contract documents.
Source, price and purchase all required materials, subcontractors, supplies, components, and other required expense items for project.
Accurately track all projects’ costs and expenses, compile profit/loss reports for project financial review.
Proactively seek new remediation opportunities and establish and manage your base of clients and consultant engineers both individually and in conjunction with a sales team.
Coordinate with other Republic Business Units for labor support and leverage our vast network of disposal facilities for remediation wastes disposal.
What you need to apply
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or similar field
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management or similar role with appropriate project references to verify experience.
Experience and understanding of remediation work
excellent organizational and writing skills, particularly with submittal preparation (project execution/work plans, schedule development, etc.)
Some travel required.
Proficient computer skills (Excel, Word, and Project Management Software)
Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, drug screening.
