Job Title: Environmental Engineer
Job Description
As an Environmental Engineer, you will oversee the entire process of soil remediation, ensuring compliance with permitting and regulations. You will manage various permitting documents, including construction, zoning, environmental, and building permits. You will collaborate with excavators and manage projects by coordinating communications between developers, public agencies, construction companies, subcontractors, and excavating companies. Your expertise in excavation and soil remediation studies will be crucial in successfully executing projects.
Responsibilities
* Oversee soil remediation processes from start to finish.
* Ensure compliance with permitting and regulations prior to remediation.
* Manage construction, zoning, environmental, and building permits.
* Coordinate communications between developers, public agencies, and construction-related entities.
* Collaborate with excavators and manage self-financing through excavation tipping.
* Understand and apply studies related to excavation and soil remediation.
Essential Skills
* Proficiency in construction permits and zoning permits.
* Knowledge in environmental science and soil remediation.
* Experience in construction and environmental engineering.
* Skills in soil sampling, remediation, and land development.
* Understanding of geology and Brownfield rehabilitation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* 2-3+ years of experience in soil remediation and environmental science.
* Ability to travel to various project sites.
* Knowledge of soil and groundwater management.
Work Environment
Enjoy a hybrid work environment with flexibility based on business demands, requiring travel as necessary. The work arrangement is balanced between office, remote work, and onsite visits, maintaining a 50/50 distribution.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.55 - $76.95/hr.
