Summary

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer with a strong background in water resources and environmental engineering to join our team in Bryant, AR. This position focuses on managing and supporting projects in stormwater, industrial wastewater, and watershed management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil, environmental, or biological/ecological engineering and significant experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, water quality, NPDES permitting, and stormwater management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support projects related to industrial wastewater troubleshooting, stormwater pond design, and hydrology/hydraulics.
  • Develop and review technical documents using MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD.
  • Design and implement plans for pollution prevention, SWPPPs, and SPCC in compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and water quality analysis for streams, rivers, and stormwater systems.
  • Prepare technical support for NPDES permitting, 404/408 permits, and water quality standards.
  • Design and support implementation of stormwater controls and wastewater/water treatment systems.
  • Run or assist with watershed modeling and water quality modeling (nice to have).
  • Support ecological restoration and environmental compliance projects.
  • Develop design documents, capital cost estimates, and coordinate with vendors and project partners.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, regulators, and internal teams, both in the office and on site.
  • Conduct field data collection and site visits as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Civil, Environmental, or Biological/Ecological Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater or environmental engineering.
  • Proven experience in stormwater management, industrial wastewater, hydraulics/hydrology, and NPDES permitting.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with watershed modeling, groundwater quality, and SPCC planning.
  • Experience supporting ecological or watershed restoration.
  • Strong understanding of state and federal water regulations.
