Environmental Database Administrator / GIS Analyst Department: Geoenvironmental Employment Type: Full Time Location: Canton, MI Reporting To: Kevin Lund Description The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. Our talented staff of more than 450+ professionals deliver integrated planning, design, engineering and construction solutions. Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for an Environmental Database Administrator / GIS Analyst to assist with our projects in our Canton, Michigan office! Key Responsibilities * Develop, manage, and maintain environmental databases, including field data, laboratory analytical results, and regulatory reports. * Perform geospatial analysis using ArcGIS and associated tools to support site investigations, remediation, and compliance reporting. * Design and maintain spatial databases and GIS models for environmental projects including Phase I/II ESAs, site remediation, and environmental compliance. * Produce high-quality maps, figures, dashboards, and web applications for internal and client use. * Ensure environmental data complies with regulatory standards and is properly formatted for reporting and submittals. * Provide technical support and training to internal teams on GIS and data management tools. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise * Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field * 2-5 years of experience in GIS and database management in the A.E.C. or environmental consulting industry * Proficiency in ESRI software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, etc.) * Experience managing relational databases (SQL Server, Access, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, or similar) * Familiarity with environmental data types * Understanding of Michigan-specific regulatory frameworks (e.g., EGLE Part 201, Part 213) Benefits * 401(k) w/ company match * Health insurance w/ HSA option, Vision, Dental, Life * Flexible schedule * Paid time off * Referral program * Tuition reimbursement * Catalytic Coaching - Employees draft a development plan aimed at improving contributions in their current job and increasing the potential for other opportunities.
